Film Outcome

I’ve finally completed my film, and I’m really proud of what I’ve created. It turned out exactly how I wanted it to, and throughout the process, I learned so much—especially about aspects of filmmaking I had little experience with before.

I explored how to use and manipulate audio, how to colour grade effectively, and how different styles of grading can create distinct moods and atmospheres. I also researched how music selection can completely shift the emotional impact of footage. Additionally, I experimented with various filming techniques, from handheld shots to stabilized footage, close-ups, and wide shots, realizing how each choice affects the final film.

This project has been particularly exciting because I ventured into something I’ve never fully experimented with before. Before this, the most video work I had done was capturing quick clips on my phone. However, I found the filmmaking process far more engaging than I expected, and it’s given me a whole new appreciation for the film industry. I now watch films with a much keener eye, noticing the decisions made in cinematography and storytelling.

I’ve attached a small clip below so you can get a preview of my film. However, due to Notion’s free account limitations, I can’t upload much video. Next, I plan to get feedback from my tutor to see what final adjustments could enhance the project even further.
