Dream ‘hit-list’.

I’ve always liked the idea of being a small ant in a big production, which is why I see myself working at a design agency or studio. When I think of the big players, companies like Universal, Coca-Cola, or other major brands come to mind, especially for logo design and branding. My list of dream companies might seem ambitious or even unrealistic to some, but you never know where life will take you. Sometimes, you have to reach for the stars to land on the moon. (It also helps that I have a connection at the company).

One of the main reasons I mention Coca-Cola—something I actually wrote about in my application for this course—is because I’ve always loved their designs. I’ve been a Coca-Cola addict since I was about 13, and I always get excited when they release new designs, whether for the Olympics, a major football match, or another special event. The way they transform something as simple as a can into a collectible piece of design fascinates me. It’s a small, unexpected way to bring joy into people’s day, and I love the idea of creating something that has that kind of impact.

At the same time, I’ve also always envisioned myself working with a charity or human rights organisation. I’m passionate about women’s rights and have been involved in various charities over the years. Right now, I work for Period Reality, a company that travels to different countries to educate people about menstruation, reproductive health, and pregnancy—often in places where these topics aren’t openly discussed. I create presentations, designs, and advertisements for them, and I find so much joy in this work that I can’t see myself ever fully leaving it behind. Maybe in the future, I’ll work for a different feminist organisation or women’s charity, but this kind of work gives me a sense of purpose that no other job does.

So, when putting together my list of potential career paths, I’ll be incorporating both major design studios and brands as well as charities and movements I’d love to be a part of.
