Reflection on My Week:

This week, I've made great strides in laying the groundwork for my project. I have clearly defined the geographic location (Cliff Edge) and my approach, incorporating both personal connections and an exploration of the space through multiple visits. My research into design methods, particularly through Brenda Laurel’s step-by-step process, has informed my approach to the project. I have thoughtfully researched cinematographic techniques and the visual language of directors whose work resonates with the nostalgic, intimate feel you aim for. Additionally, I Have identified key influences like William Eggleston’s photography and the films Her, Lady Bird, and Call Me by Your Name, all of which will help shape the aesthetic and atmosphere of my film.

The integration of interviews and personal memories will add emotional depth to your project, bringing the space to life through both visual and narrative storytelling. I'm also starting to plan your experimentation for next week.

Plan for Filming Next Week:

Next week, I'll begin my experimentation, so today I'm brainstorming ideas for different things I could try. This includes filming techniques, interesting colour grading styles, fonts to experiment with, creative audio approaches, and more. By preparing this list now, I'll have a clear guide to follow next week, allowing me to jump straight into testing and exploration.
