My final piece.
Here is a slightly blurry and lower quality version of my final piece created for this project.

My reflection.
In reflection, considering the three-week time limit and the fact that this was my first project during my masters degree, I believe this piece is very well executed. Im really pleased with the outcome. It has the look I envisioned, it effectively resembles stained glass, and the colours create a seaside aesthetic without feeling too dull.
I also appreciate that my research is clearly visible within the piece; I stayed true to my original ideas rather than veering off in a completely different direction. The graduation outfit worked particularly well within the stained glass composition, and the vibrant red scarf added a pop of colour without making the overall outfit feel too modern or out of place within the classic stained glass aesthetic.
If I had more time, I would have expanded this into a three-panel quadriptych that folds in on itself, telling one story on the outside and another on the inside, an idea I came across during my research. I really liked this concept, but given the three-week timeframe, I wouldn't have been able to execute it to the standard I wanted.
Looking ahead to my next project, I plan to go heavier on research from the beginning. In the first week of this project, I didn't explore enough research topics, which left me with a heavier workload toward the end. I’ll also start with a more in-depth exploration of the core aspects of the project, had I researched polyptychs earlier, I would have realised their relevance much sooner. This experience has been a valuable learning process, and Im excited to apply these lessons to the next project.
