Animation Experiment: Multimedium.

For this animation, I explored layering and composition by combining typography, photography, print, illustration, charcoal and pattern. My goal was to create a multimedium piece where text and imagery interacted dynamically, pushing the boundaries of how these elements coexist within motion design.

After discussing the piece with my lecturer, I received feedback that encouraged me to refine my approach. He suggested making the animation feel more like a title sequence, similar to Trainspotting, with a stronger graphic style. One key takeaway was the importance of font choice; rather than selecting a typeface at random, I need to research its history and ensure it reflects qualities that resonate with me, such as empathy, authenticity, reflection, introversion, subtlety, and perfectionism. Additionally, he may have preferred me to choose just two or three mediums do keep the other all look less busy.

Moving ahead I will revisit my list, and chose just a small selection of mediums. I will also do some research into title sequences, for example trainspotting and the jackal. When then incorporating the text, I will research each font and choose accordingly.

Unfortunately I cannot upload the whole animation onto here as I have a free account on notion but I can upload a small snippet of my first experiment.
