MORAG MYERSCOUGH

Morag was briefly mentioned in the lecture, but when I visited her website, it completely blew me away. I’ve always been a big fan of bold colour and design, and I love how her visual style carries through the whole website. It feels like I can already see her work before I’ve even scrolled down.

Adding animation to my own website is something I’ve thought about a lot, especially since I have an animation background. But until recently, I hadn’t really explored motion design properly. Seeing Morag’s site made me realise that I can use motion in my work without it needing to be a full animated film or series. No characters, no detailed backgrounds—just type and colour in motion.

This is something I’ve wanted to try for a while now. I touched on it a bit in my last module, but maybe this project is the right time to explore it more fully. It’s making me think I might need to revisit my storyboard and see how motion could play a part.
