MORAG MYERSCOUGH

I discovered Morag Myerscough after a webinar, and her work instantly stood out to me. She's known for creating huge, colourful installations that completely transform public spaces—often using bright, clashing colours, bold patterns, and playful typography. Her work doesn’t try to blend in—it’s loud, joyful, and full of energy.

What I love most is how she uses colour to create a sense of place and mood. There’s a real sense of fun and personality in everything she does, which ties in really well with what I’m trying to do with Surviving the Underground. Her use of bold, graphic elements has influenced how I think about communicating clearly in busy environments—especially when the audience might be overwhelmed or disoriented, like on the London Underground. I want my work to have that same kind of visual impact: something people notice, connect with, and maybe even smile at.
