Week 10: Design development | Peer reflection, thinking by doing, testing and refining design

This week you will explore thinking by doing, testing and refining design outcomes.

So far, this project has encouraged to you embrace risk and to share your ideas in order to establish fresh insights. As you will have noticed in the previous weeks, there are many facets to the design process that need to be deployed to ensure a successful outcome. We now encourage you to act on your research, undertake user testing, final concept development and work hard to deliver your designed outcome.

Be aware that internalising your design developments can be detrimental to the successful communication of your project. Try not to that assume your ideas are logical and make sense without discussing them with others. Seek advice from your peers, staff, research groups and professional contacts. Talk about your work to ensure that is clear, engaging and concise. These conversations can really help provide clarity, insight and direction, which are a vital way to refine your designs in these latter stages of your project.
